Visual Findings:
Wasps in the Uk apart from the hornet are very similar with black and yellow bands on their bodies with 2 sets of wings
Habitat Findings:
Normal habitation are holes in the ground, hollow trees, sheds, loft spaces. The Queen starts the nest by chewing
wood and saliva to make wasp paper, then as time goes by the workers take over, up to 10,000 by the time the season ends
Consumption Findings:
Wasps usually eat insects which are mainly garden or household pests, they also feed on dustbin waste and animal carcasses.
Extra Information:
Wasps unlike a bee, can sting many times, although not normally serious, it can be very
painful and in some cases cause a severe reaction.
