Visual Findings:
Adults are up to 6mm long, blackish with fine golden hairs on thorax (sometimes not visible)
Habitat Findings:
Found through out the UK, the common name refers to its habitat of clustering and hibernation
in large numbers within buildings. More active in numbers during the summer months.
Consumption Findings:
Flies can take in only liquid foods. They spit out saliva on solid foods to pre-digest it, and then suck it back in.
They also vomit partially digested matter and eat it again
Extra Information:
Bats maybe living in areas of buildings used by flies. Bats are protected by the Wildlife & Countryside act and would be
removed safely before any treatment took place
